How we work
LINGO TRANSLATIONS is well travelled, well versed and totally comprehensive.

LINGO offers a truly international service. Our experience covers corporate and commercial clients through to medical, technical, legal, consumer goods and financial projects. Since launch we’ve covered such diverse subjects as round-the-world yacht races (Whitbread Round the World Race), patent applications, White Papers, Pizza Hut posters, annual reports for many prestigious companies, technical manuals about submersible pumps, newspaper articles about the beef scandal and even hot news in the Mail on Sunday.

In each instance LINGO utilises well briefed and proven translators all coupled with technology that means we are always on call 24-7 – and you are always on time with those last minute jobs.

Different challenges for different clients

LINGO TRANSLATIONS handles a variety of different tasks for a diverse range of customers whose needs may require technical or legal copy translated into unusual tongues such as Vietnamese or Korean. This is of course as well as the more obvious European and Scandinavian languages. To date, LINGO has translated into 30 different languages for dozens of companies such as Nokia, Microsoft, BMW, Ericsson, Absolut Vodka, ITT Flygt and Pharmacia. Work types include newsletters, legal & technical texts, patent applications, sales conference scripts, brochures, annual reports, advertising copy, packaging and press releases. Please ask us about any work types we haven’t listed.

Accuracy

LINGO prides itself on providing the right translator for any particular job. For instance we will use a different translator for advertising copy rather than the one for legal or medical text - even if it is in the same language. We currently have over 200 translators on our books. For your complete reassurance, we only employ translators who are qualified.

Management

It is only natural that translation work has a subjective localisation element to it. Personal preferences are always a factor and LINGOS' professional and experienced management ethos ensures that we understand your needs, constantly manage and monitor any project to get the job done on time, and to our customers 100% satisfaction.
